How do you define love?

Love is paramount

An agent of edification

Our gifts need.
It does make something
We stand a chance 
To gain something
When we give in love.
In the chamber of love
Christ gave himself up
And he got the chance
To gain an eternal glory.

Love is patient and kind
Keeping everyone in mind
Not turning some away
But bringing all to stay
He is not filled with envy
Of whate'er I have got 
And is not making a boast 
Of whate'er he has got
He is not arrogant or rude
Though I be crude

I am not forced to tred his way
But he says "I am the way"
Anger has no hold on him
He resents nothing but evil
Love bears and believes all
Not excluding the lies I've told
He is intent on my acceptance of him
And until that happens
He endures still.

Love never ceases
Neither does he fade away
He is the all perfect being
With no imperfection in between
Desiring to perfect
All that's mine
He is the light
Shining so bright
To take up every shadow
In my meadow.

Love abides amongst all
That this world can imagine
But of all
He is the almighty
He is God
And in God is love defined.
